Hi Lei Yan,
I wonder if it can be some kind of limit if it crashes exactly at 1K images. You might want to send the scene and ticket to support to hear if that can be the issue.
While not ideal, maybe you can render 10 batches of 1000 shots and put the images together afterwards? You might need to do some batch rename action on the images but might be a workaround. I’ve very little experience with rendering for web but if you want you may send me your scene with a private message posting it as KSP on wetransfer.com for example and I can check if I can get further than 1K shots.
Hi Oscar
No it’s not a limit issue. I tried with a smaller number (768 img) but it still fails. I have created a ticket and am waiting for support. Thank you.
And I heard you say that can render multiple batches and put them together? I’m quite interested in it because my project needs 300k shots but the software limit is only 100k. Can you share more about this part for me?
Hi Lei,
I’m not exactly sure what you especially with such a high number of images but if you would use KeyShotXR it basically loads a row of images like 360 horizontally which gives you an image per degree of rotation. And if you want it adds also rows above and below that baseline so it makes it possible to move the scene up/down in the vertical way.
Since it’s just a bit of javascript combined with HTML it should be possible to change it a bit to your needs. I’m not sure if using KeyShotXR is what you want though.
And it might be a bit of a puzzle but the .js basically just looks at the amount of images you renderered and as long as the names are right, I think the amount doesn’t make a different for the basic working of the script.
